Our target demographic is people afflicted with dyslexia, a neurological disease that impairs reading, writing and speaking proficiency. Dyslexia impacts approximately 5 to 10% of the global population, and its effects vary in severity. Individuals with dyslexia often experience difficulty in the comprehension of words, making reading and writing significantly more arduous.
Dyslexic individuals require specialised tools to aid them in reading and writing. These needs encompass the use of accessible and dyslexia-friendly fonts, text-to-speech aids to facilitate word recognition and pronunciation, and traditional educational modules, which often require dense textual content, standardised fonts, and high-contrast colour schemes, often exacerbate the difficulties encountered by dyslexics, thus highlighting the shortcomings and inadequacy of the current educational system.
