I imaged the Sadr region of the constellation Cygnus with a Stellarvue SV80ST air spaced apochromat having a 0.8x focal reducer and field flattener. The effective focal length was 384 mm at F/4.8. The imaging camera was a ZWO ASI2600MC pro cooled to 0C at a gain of 100. It was off-axis guided by a QHY LII camera and controlled with PHD2. The system was mounted on a Celestron Advanced VX equatorial head and controlled through Sequence Generator Pro 4.5.
The image consists of 32 frames x 5 minutes for a total exposure time of 2 hours 40 minutes. Calibration was done with 16 bias, dark and flat frames. The image was processed in PixInsight 1.9.4.
It was taken on June 13 and 14, 2026 at Starry Meadows during the 2026 Rocky Mountain Star Stare, hosted by the Astronomical Society of Colorado Springs. The dark sky site is located northwest of Gardner at an altitude of 2300 meters or 7,600 feet.
