2021-06-20 NGC6523 M8 Reprocessed

I reprocessed my image of NGC6523 (M8, the Lagoon Nebula). The original image was posted here. I was never happy with the processing, as the color was washed out. I reprocessed the data the original DeepSkyStacker output using PixInsight to improve resolution and color saturation.

NGC6523 (M8) the Lagoon Nebula, imaged with a 150mm aperture F/5 Newtonian reflector, Baader coma corrector, Baader UVIR cut filter and Nikon D5200 Full Spectrum (B) modified camera at prime focus. The optical system was mounted on a Celestron Advanced VX mount. Total exposure of 57 minutes at ISO-800 with 19 light at 3 min, 10 dark, 20 bias frames. Autoguided. Reprocessed in PixInsight.
