All these images were taken with a Nikon D5300, Nikor 55-300 mm lens at 300 mm, motorized equatorial mount and with BackyardNIKON camera control. The images were taken in Villa Ridge, Missouri.
The eclipse and corona, with the star Regulus.
This image is a stack of images from 1/8 second to 1/1500 second showing the inner corona detail and prominence on the western edge.
This image is a 1/1500 second photo showing the photosphere on the western edge.
