The St. Louis Astronomical Society and the Astronomical Society of Eastern Missouri held a start party near the Buford Mountain Conservation Area.
The Orion Nebula including NGC1976 M42, NGC1982 and NGC1977. Imaged with a Celestron 152 mm aperture 750 mm focal length Newtonian, Baader MPCC, Baader UVIR cut filter, Nikon D5200 Full Spectrum and baffled modified camera. Autoguided with 50 mm F/3.3 Orion StarShoot Autoguider and mounted on a Celestron Advanced VX mount running PHD2. Camera control with BackyardNIKON. Total exposure of 2 hours 15 minutes at ISO-800 in 45 lights, 19 dark, 19 bias and 10 flat frames. Stacked in DSS and processed in Photoshop with a green channel luminance layer.
NGC7078 M15. Imaged with a Celestron 152 mm aperture 750 mm focal length Newtonian, Baader MPCC, Baader UVIR cut filter, Nikon D5200 Full Spectrum and baffled modified camera. Autoguided with 50 mm F/3.3 Orion StarShoot Autoguider and mounted on a Celestron Advanced VX mount running PHD2. Camera control with BackyardNIKON. Total exposure of 78 minutes at ISO-400 with 13 lights, 7 dark, 10 bias and 10 flat frames. Stacked in DSS and processed in Photoshop with a green channel luminance layer.
