I imaged the Antares region in Scorpio, including NGC6121 M4 with NGC6144, IC4606 and IC4605, from near Buford Mountain Conservation Area. I imaged the region with an 80 mm aperture apochromatic refractor and focal reducer at F/4.8 through a Baader UVIR cut filter and using a modified and baffled Nikon D5200 camera. Mounted on a Celestron AVX mount and autoguided. Total exposure of 40 minutes in 4 light, 3 dark, and 10 bias at ISO-400. Camera controlled by BackyardNIKON. Stacked in DeepSkyStacker and processed in Photoshop with a red luminance layer.
This is an experimental image to evaluate low ISO imaging. There are stacking artifact at the top of the image, so I'll need to retake the data.
