I imaged some Perseid Meters on the night of August 11 - 12, 2016 from the Buford Mountain Conservation Area. These are my first meteor images.
There are two bright and one dim meteors streaks that appear as meteors in this two minute exposure. However, it is most likely a spinning satellite. The Andromeda Galaxy is upper left of center and the Double Cluster is to the upper right. (Nikon D5300, Nikkor 18-105 mm lens at 18 mm, F3.5, 2 minute exposure on equatorial mount).
This meteor image shows the object starting as green, then yellow and finally red before disintegrating. My reaction is that the colors are an artifact of the camera's Bayer mask. If not, it would represent ionization of oxygen in the upper atmosphere, followed by heating of the object. Again, The Andromeda Galaxy is upper left of center and the Double Cluster is to the upper right. The meteors would be traveling from upper-right to lower left in the image. (Nikon D5300, Nikkor 18-105 mm lens at 18 mm, F3.5, 2 minute exposure on equatorial mount).
