Post date: Nov 23, 2017 1:51:47 AM

This is NGC7635 the Bubble Nebula in the constellation Cassiopeia. The bubble to the lower right was caused by a new star that formed in the gas and is blowing away the rest of the Hydrogen. The star cluster NGC7654 (M52) is visible to the upper right.

The image was taken over three nights on September 15, 26 and 29 at Buford Mountain and Whiteside Conservation Areas. Imaging was through a Celestron C6N 150 mm aperture, 750 mm focal length (F/5) Newtonian with Baader Coma Corrector, and QSI 683wsg camera with Astrodon Gen II filters, on a Celestron AVX mount, autoguided. Total exposure of 9 hours 50 min through Luminance, Hydrogen Alpha, Red, Blue and Green filters. Processed in PixInsight and Photoshop.
