Mackenzie took her first astro photographs at Broemmelsiek Park. The images were taken with a Nikon D5200 Full Spectrum Modified camera and Nikor 55-300 mm lens. A Spencer Visible + H-Alpha filter was over the lens. The camera was mounted on a German Equatorial Orion Mini EQ1 mount with motor, unguided.
