The southern region of Orion. The image is a single exposure taken through a Nikkor 100 mm manual focus lens on a Nikon D5300 camera, mounted on an Orion EQ-1M mount with RA motor. The exposure was 45 seconds at ISO6400. The image was processed in Photoshop. The image was taken at the Onizuke Center for International Astronomy Visitor Information Center on Mauna Kea, HI on December 29, 2019.
This is the plate-solved image. Banard's loop is also faintly visible in the upper-right and even more faintly at the bottom of the image.
