2016-01-29: Orion

This is not a good image, but my first Orion constellation image. It was taken at the Lynch observing field near Buford Mountain, MO.

The constellation Orion with M42, M43, M78, IC0434 and Sh 2-264. Imaged with a Nikkor 50mm F/1.8 at F/3.2 and a full spectrum modified and baffled Nikon D5200 camera mounted on an Orion EQ1 with RA motor. Total exposure of 70 min at ISO-1600 using a Baader UV-IR cut filter and 30 min at ISO-3200 using a Baader H-alpha filter. Each image one minute exposure. Stacked in DeepSkyStacker and processed in Photoshop using the H-alpha image as a luminance layer.
