How to Enhance Performance in Graphical Mapping?

As discussed in my previous blog, one new feature in SAP PI version 7.1 is the graphical mapping variables. We can store the values temporarily to a variable, and use it in several target field mappings. If we can group all these target field mappings into one, that will be the best as it will be created as one Java program in the background. This will improve the performance of the graphical mapping quite significantly.

The same also applies if there are several target field mappings which requires input from the same source field. We also can group it together so that it will be created as one Java program in the background.

However, some may ask "How can we group several target field mappings together, as every time we double click on the target field, it will bring a new mapping screen?". The answer to that is NOT to double click, but instead use drag and drop feature.
