IDOC change pointer concept is a bit different from the rest. Normally to activate the change pointer we just have to follow the configuration as described in my blog Change Pointer. However for HR change pointer, we need to skip certain setting and do additional setting. What are those?
As we cam see, SAP standard message type HRMD_A or HRMD_ABA provide a very huge IDOC type, as its segments cover most of the infotypes information, as such SAP has to deviate its change pointer a little bit.
These are the differences:
1. We do not need to set anything in transaction BD52
2. We must create filter objects, aside from the distribution model
3. If we create IDOC extension, register the new segment in table T777D
Life is beautiful! Let's make it meaningful and colorful!
