Appreciate Your Soulmate

My name is Se Lim. I am married to a beautiful wife with one son.

Today and for the next few days, my wife is away to attend her sister wedding, left me alone with all the house hold chores, which she normally does for me every day.

I have to take care of my six year old 'big boy' from the sun rise to sun set all by my self. When I say big yes.. my son is really big in size. Imagine at this age he is already 40 kg and more than 140cm. All the teachers who has ever taught him before, always looked at us in disbelief when we told them about his age.

Sending him to school in the morning, picking him up in the afternoon using public transport is quite a challenge, since the school location is still another 20 mintue walk from the nearest station. Taking care of his meals from break fast to dinner is another challenge. Since I dont really know much about cooking, I have to take him eating out most of the time. After school, I have to check his home works, teacher comments of the day, and make sure that he has done it properly before letting him watch TV and eventually go to bed. Even before going to bed, there is routine that I need to follow, giving him vitamins, pray with him and tell him a good nite story.

Having my wife away for several days, makes me more appreciative of all the hard work she has been doing all the while for me. I should NOT take it for granted. I would like to hug and thank her for taking good care of me and bringing up my son so far. God bless her...
