St. Petersburg/Clearwater: For the ultimate variety of options that cover most fishing methods in Florida. Choose to your liking and fish type: from tarpon and snook to the blackfin tuna.

Lake Toho: Located near Orlando is the kilometrically named Lake Tohopekaliga, which most Floridians just shorten to Lake Toho. It is a massive 22,700-acre fishing paradise offering great spots for reeling in largemouth bass.

Bay Lake and the Seven Seas Lagoon: Another central Florida special is this tandem of two lakes, one natural and one man-made. Connected by a canal, they run through Walt Disney World Resort and are famed destinations for many local and visiting anglers.

Everglades and the Keys: The Florida Keys are famous for tarpon, while sea trout abound in the Ten Thousand Islands area of the Everglades.

St. Augustine: Another great saltwater fishing spot is the Salt River in St. Augustine, a popular inshore spot for redfish. The nearby flats and the creeks add to the variety of catch, offering trout and snook.
