London Olympic Village, located east of the capital of England, was sold for 557 million pounds (634 million) a consortium of Qatari Diar which includes, a subsidiary of the Qatar sovereign wealth funds, informs AFP.According to the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA), Qatari Diar and British property group Delancey obtained purchase rights and long-term management of the Olympic village. The contract includes rights for six adjacent land, which could build another 2,000 homes.Evening Standard newspaper and Qatari Diar Delancey notes that will take 1439 of the 2818 Olympic village houses.After the Olympic Games in 2012 Olympic Village will be transformed into a residential neighborhood.
