Fenerbahce club president arrested in an investigation of rigged matches

Turkish police detained the club Fenerbahce provisional president, Aziz Yildirim and the other about 40 people under investigation for rigging matches in 2010/2011, the agency Anatolia said.

Units in the fight against organized crime and were arrested on Sunday morning, Yildirim, the Vice Fenerbahçe, Sekip Mosturoglu, the sports director at Eskisehirspor, Ümit Karan, the technical director and striker UYGUN Bulent Ozturk Sezer, transferred to the Fenerbahce, according to Anatolia.

Anatolia said that investigators raided the headquarters club Fenerbahçe, and several buildings belonging to officials of the group.

Turkish police in the operation were targeted and other clubs. In Trabzon, Nevzat Sakari, vice club Trabzonspor, ranks second in the championship, at the group announced that a search takes place. At Sivas, president Mecnun Odyakmaz Sivasspor, goalkeeper and striker Mehmet Yildiz Korcan Celikay were placed in custody.

Chairman of the Board of Fenerbahçe, Yuksel Günay, denounced the arrest of abuse of its President. "It's a White Sewing business. It is a police state," said Gunay.

Champion Turkey in 2011, is the titrated group Fenerbahce in Turkey. Aziz Yildirim leads the club in 1998.
