  • Ensuring First Fit Approval has been achieved.

  • Confirming Fabric Acceptability and Dimensional Stability through Wearer Trials.

  • Auditing the Garment Pattern for its conformance to Block Fit Criteria & Measurements.

  • Control of Garment Patterns in the Manufacturing Gerber System, Preparation for Gerber Cutting, Sizing & Grading Rules.

  • Preparing and Transfer of Pattern Data to Sewing Jig and Cutting Die Manufacturers.

  • Input to the Costing Team of Methods used based on the use of actual Design Patterns.

  • Garment ‘Make Up System’ Testing for Manufacturing Suitability. (Making Test Lot Batches).

  • Achieving Customer Acceptance through the Contract Garment Sealing Process.

  • Preparation of individual Operation Method and Quality Specifications.

  • Co-ordinating and Managing the pre loading Garment Pre-Production Meetings.

  • Approval Pilot Sample Review & Pilot Follow Up Actions.

  • Customers Production 'Rack Sample' and Delivery to Customer.

  • Supply of Various Samples to Customers for marketing use.

  • General Support to Manufacturing Technical Teams.

Customers Garment Technologist - Areas of Involvement

  • Customers Critical Path and Production Feed On Plan driven. - Will have access to our Production Flow Plans with preconceived notions of when we should be Pre-Producing and Manufacturing in our factories.

  • Product Screening (Risk Assessment) to be completed. - Supplier could be asked to present at Contract Seal Stage.

  • Ensuring First Fit Approval has been achieved. - Should be at each Fit Assessment meeting.

  • Auditing the Garment Pattern for its conformance to Block Pattern Fit & Measurements. - Can ask for copies to be e mailed to them for internal auditing.

  • Input to the Costing Team, Methods to be used, based on the use of actual Design Patterns. - Can insist on specific methods to be used.

  • Achieving Customer Acceptance through the Contract Garment Sealing process. - Should control the process in the Customers Department.

  • Co-ordinating and Managing the Garment Pre-Production Meetings. Needs to be involved in every meeting – difficult to predict dates more than one week in advance.

  • Pilot Review & Pilot Follow Up Actions. Needs to attend during Pilot Making by exception.

  • Production Rack Sample Delivery to Customer. Audits Rack Samples in the Customer Department.
