The Brigade Group in Bangalore, along with Rotary Bangalore Midtown recognises promising and upcoming youngsters every year through the Young Achiever Award (instituted in 2006).

The awards function in 2009 was held at MLR Convention Centre in Brigade Millennium, JP Nagar, Bangalore, where I lived. Brigade was kind enough to send invitations to the function to representatives of the Brigade apartments in the area, so I attended the function. Here I met Pankaj Advani who had been called as the chief guest, and I got his autograph.
