International Physical Theatre Workshop
"Movement for Actors/Acting for Dancers"
The program is a lab-residency for performing practitioners of different fields and backgrounds to practice and gain new experience in a multidisciplinary and multicultural context. Learning and creating in the environment alongside peers from different countries and cultures is excellent training for the innovative, new, multidimensional approach to performance making, and also offers students personal opportunities to learn more about new stories.

This workshop is designed for actors, dancers, contemporary circus performers, musical theatre performers and performance artists, as well as teachers and directors, who are interested in advancing their skills in performing, directing, moving, devising, improvising and improve such professional tools as body, voice and mind through daily creative practice.

Practical sessions are designed to enhance understanding of performance making and rehearsal processes, and skills in pedagogy.
This workshop is a simple way that can help you formulate your personal unique approach to work with actors and dancers, through the intensive practical training based on the Ostrenko Brothers Method of performer's physical training and rehearsal.
Students may expect to encounter the techniques of such outstanding figures as V. Meyerhold, M. Chekhov, K. Stanislavski which got incorporated into the method by Ostrenko.
The course is taught by experienced professional practitioners, experts in performing arts pedagogy, actors’ training, theatre directing and movement research in intercultural groups and projects.

CERTIFICATE
Students can receive the Certificate of Participation in this intensive program upon submitting the detailed creative report/essay (1500 words) after participation in this intensive workshop. Evidence that you are serious about your education and professional development.

Everything is organized on the same territory: creative space and full board accommodation, so that participants can concentrate on creation and communication without any distractions of the routine necessities.
The accommodation for the participants is organized at the guest house of the beautiful 13th century Laubegg Castle, situated idyllic setting south of Graz, in Styria region, "Green Heart" of Austria.
