The lecture will give some basic information on the properties of glasses which make them excellent materials for applications in energy conversion. The use of flat glass and tubes in saving, conversion, and storage of solar energy will be discussed. Three examples of current research topics will be given: electronic packaging for batteries, printed glass powders for photovoltaics, and antireflective coatings. (Click aquí para ver el afiche.)
