Islam has done an admiral job of deflecting Christian evidences but they are still incorrect. Like verses calling Jesus the Son of God. They say correctly that there are many sons of God. All Christians are children of God by adoption.
True, but false.
Jesus is the Son of God in a Spirit since, not biological and not through adoption. Muslims use John 3:16, the only begotten of the Father, to claim Christians believe Jesus was biologically conceived through sexual relations between God and Mary. This isn't Christian doctrine.
Begotton can mean the rebirth, or incarnation where life is fused into the dead. Begotten is used of the resurrection. Begotten can be born of God's word. So being the only begotten of the Father doesn't mean sexual relations.
People can argue about how God did it, I believe he did, the personality of Deity was fused with a human body becoming Jesus of Nazareth. The problem Islam has is the title son is in the same verse as God. So the Son is identified as God.
Isaiah 9:6 - for unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given...his name shall be called mighty God
A human child is called God. Islam does not believe Allah can be human and would never call a human child God.
Hebrews 1:8 But unto the Son he saith, thy throne O God is forever and ever.
You see it gets harder and harder for Islam to deflect the truth.
Hebrews 1:6
And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.
The firstbegotten was commanded to be worshipped, not just honored. I know of only one begotten that could be called firstbegotten.
Matthew 2:2
Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.
One of my favorite verses is Psalms 81
Psalms 82:1
God was standing in the congregation judging the lessor Gods. Jesus judging the Pharisees. Since the Father is spirit and not human, this must be Jesus. Compare to John 10.
John 10:35
If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;
John 10:36
Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?
They recognized Psalm 82 immediately and knew Jesus was comparing himself to the God of verse 1.
