Today is the patron saint of England - St George - day.
Saint George is a mythical person who was supposed to have battled dragons and fought in the Crusades in the early days of Christianity.
Apparently, St George isn't even English - but of some foreign climb!
Although his day is commemorated today, the day isn't a public holiday in England, and nor is it celebrated as other patron saints days are - but there are efforts to try and make St George's Day a public holiday in England, although you will be having complaints from the Scots, Welsh and Irish saying their saints' day isn't a public holiday either.
