Today was my Mam and stepdad's 34th wedding anniversary.
They married on a sunny afternoon 34 years ago today. It was at the old Mansfield Registry Office, and my Mam's five children and Mac's three went (including me with my Mam's lot), my beloved grandma (my Mamma Greasley) and my Mam's sister Jean and her husband Dave, who was celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary (Silver Wedding day). My Aunty Jean and Uncle Dave celebrate their 59th wedding anniversary today too.
For the evening do, we all went to a licensed restaurant in Forest Town and had steak meals. We were there until after midnight and then everybody made their way back to our house on Greenwood Drive, where the celebrations lasted well into the early hours.
This year my Mam and Mac celebrated their wedding anniversary quietly in their caravan on the East Coast. I went and had a couple of hours with them in the afternoon, and then in the evening they went to their local pub on the caravan site and had a few drinks.
I am glad you both had a lovely, quiet day! xxx
