Well... what can one say... except that was the most pathetic game I have seen England play in many a year. We didn't deserve a win tonight. We had nearly a £1billion worth of players on that pitch tonight, and yet a friendly Sunday soccer game could have played so much better than the top England players have! Although it hasn't been said, I think that rivalry between the England players played a part in the match tonight. Because so many of the England players play in rival teams in the English Premiership it has affected their ability to play with each other on the field. I am certainly no football pundit, and I do not watch football unless England play, but that is what I feel happened tonight in the match.
Algeria has seemed to play a very good game against England. They played well, and their players responded to each other and that was very noticable on the pitch for all the 90-minutes of play.
We play Slovenia on Wednesday, and the attitude and ability of England players really needs to be stepped up for that match, or we shall be saying 'bye bye South Africa' in the first round of World Cup 2010!
