A day with the family

I have been to my niece and nephew-in-law's house today for a birthday party for their little girl, who turns three years old on Thursday.

Our Susan and Chris made me welcome, as they have always done, and I went with my sister, Susan's mum, June. Our Susan's elder brother, my nephew and godson Christopher was there with his wife Diane and their two children Charlie and Aimee. Our Chris' two other children, Natalie and Laura were also there. Natalie brought her daughter, my great-great niece Courtney - she has really grown and is one year old in a fortnight.

I had a lovely time with them all, and I always look forward to our family get-togethers - it's a pity we don't have more of them.
