Sector: Neo Geo Pocket

Thankfully, someone had the foresight to mirror Sector: Neo Geo Pocket. I have added links to the reviews I wrote for the site to the Raroo Omake section.

Reading through the content on the site made me pine for the old days of the Web. Sector: Neo Geo Pocket began in the time when it took lots and lots of work to build and maintain a website. When I purchased my Neo Geo Pocket in 1999, there wasn't a heck of a lot of information online about the system and its games, and I remember stumbling across the site and basing many of my game purchased on its reviews. What a great resource!

One of the coolest things about S:NGP is that many of the original contributers still keep in touch and post on its forum. Sure, the Neo Geo Pocket may have come and gone, but one of the most notable online communities that arose because of SNK's little handheld marvel is still going strong. Pretty amazing.

It quite charming to revisit game reviews I wrote over a decade ago. While some aspects of my approach to writing about games may have changed since then, other things have stayed consistent. Ultimately, I always try to write about games from a personal, accessible, and fun persective, and I think it was Mission Accomplished at S:NGP.
