The entire time we were shopping, he spoke to her. It would’ve been insulting, but I love being underestimated. My mom noticed what was going on, and we laughed at it while he left us to get something or another. It was really funny because I had done a bit of research about buying a suit and so I knew enough to ask reasonably decent questions, and he would respond with his feet and body pointing towards my mom and his eye contact was either with her or he looked at the space between her and me.
