The first sign anyone caught, the morning after going to bed with a slight fever, Dino’s mother went to wake her up and found her on the floor, tangled in blankets, pale, pasty and vomit around her mouth. For obvious reasons she never choose to tell me all the details, but after calling 911, the police had to break down the front door since the door was locked and she wasn’t leaving her daughters side. Paramedics arrived and she was pulled aside and questioned as if the child was abused, which I’m sure was as awful as it sounds. No hard feelings tword the officers though. They were doing their job. This situation wasn’t supposed to happen, so of course that would be the first thought. Kids aren’t supposed to just get sick a die.
