I run better than the government shirt

In both the Marine Corps Marathon and Boston, they have water roughly every two miles, so there are plenty of chances to get re-hydrated. But Sugarloaf? Forget it! By the time I reached the Finish Line, the temperature was 90 degrees, and I was in bad shape. A friend who was running this one gave me expliciit order to lay down in the shade, and he went to get me some refreshments. mInd you, he did this, even though he had run the same course and under the same conditions. So, how was I able to make it to the end under such extreme conditions? I was thoroughly hydrated, and had been since the day before the marathon. The real question is: How can you tell if you are thoroughly hydrated, or not? It's really very simple. If your urine is coming out clear, you are thoroughly hydrated. If it's coming out darker, you are not hydrated. For proof of this, check it after you finish the run. It WILL be darker than it was at the starting line.
