You can use the blank template below for taking minutes for your circle by copy/pasting what's below and pasting it into your existing circle minutes doc. Here's how:
Copy the blank minutes template below by clicking and dragging from the upper left to the lower right.
Find your existing circle or sub-circle page on the wiki. The minutes you see on the wiki page are actually a google doc showing through in a "window" that cannot be edited. Open that window by doing step 3.
Open the circle minutes in a new tab so that you can edit them. Do this by clicking on the ↗︎ icon in the upper right of the minutes window. (If you move your cursor there, you will see it.)
Paste the blank template at the top of your minutes google doc.
Start taking minutes. Please use the left-hand notes column for notes, and the decisions column only for decisions so they can easily be searched.
To be super crafty, you can keep a blank at the ready in your circle's minutes doc, instead of getting it from here each time!
Note: If you are starting a brand new circle or sub-circle, scroll down to the bottom of this page for instructions!
... and don't have a place for your minutes on the wiki, let an eLife member help you. They can set your minutes google doc to show up in the proper circle or sub-circle location in the wiki.
To start a brand new set of minutes:
Open the "minutes template" above as a google doc in a new tab* (*Do this by clicking on the ↗︎ icon in the upper right of the minutes window. If you move your cursor there, you will see it.)
Choose File > "Make a copy" from the menu, then rename the google doc
Share the google doc with your circle or sub-circle members to give them "can edit" permission (everyone on cch-talk will be able to view the doc without this step, they just won't be able to edit).
Start taking minutes.
