The propane barbecue grill on the front patio is part of the shared property of the community. Please feel free to use it on a first-come-first-served basis without the need to ask permission or sign up. It has several independent burners and is generally large enough to prioritize common meals without displacing personal use.
First-time grillers are encouraged to seek support to ensure a confident, happy and safe grilling experience. Thank you for leaving the grill cleaner than you found it.

*Propane. If you find that the usual lighting procedure does not work and there is no hissing sound when you turn on the burner (and the tank valve is open), then the tank may be empty. Check the propane tank fuel level by pressing the tank level button to the right of the burner controls, or open the cabinet to check the tank level indicators on the spring-loaded tank hanger. You may also lift the tank from its hook to judge its weight (compare with a full tank if available) and listen for the sloshing sound of liquid in the tank when you shake it. If there is liquid in the tank then there is still gas to be used.
Changing the Propane Tank. Close the tank valve and unscrew the hose from the tank. When you remove the tank from the cabinet below the grill, compare the weight of the used tank with a new one to confirm that it is empty. An empty tank will also be significantly lighter than a full tank. Hopefully, there is at least one full tank waiting to be connected. Place the new tank on the tank hanger hook in the cabinet below the barbecue and screw on the hose securely. Move the empty tank next to the exit gate of the garage.
Refill Propane Tanks. We keep full propane tanks next to the grill and empty propane tanks next to the exit gate of the garage for convenient loading into vehicles. We expect barbecue users to take turns refilling the propane tanks. Empty tanks can be refilled or exchanged at multiple locations.
