Email Lists and Groups
Cambridge Cohousing uses two main email groups to communicate:
This group is only for meeting agendas, minutes, decision proposals and urgent facilities notices.
You can visit the group online at https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/cch-business
You can send an email to the group at cch-business@googlegroups.com
The group is currently moderated, so messages sent to the group will not appear until they have been released by a moderator.
The group is only open to CCH residents and our property manager, The Hofeller Company. Only group members may send emails to the group.
This group is for talking about anything related to living in Cambridge Cohousing.
You can visit the group online at https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/cch-talk.
You can send an email to the group at cch-talk@googlegroups.com
The group is not moderated. Participants are asked to follow community norms regarding communications and netiquette.
The group is only open to CCH residents, and only group members may send emails to the group.
There are other email groups used by committees or task forces within Cambridge Cohousing:
This group is for Managing Board communications.
You can send an email to the Managing Board at cch-MB@googlegroups.com
The group is only open to current Managing Board members. Anyone may send emails to the group.
CCH-eLife task force
This group is for the eLife task force. It was originally set up to test GoogleGroups for the main email groups, and has remained as a discussion group.
You can send an email to the group at cch-elife@googlegroups.com.
The group is only open to CCH eLife task force members. Anyone in CCH can join the task force at any time.
This group is for the CCH-business and CCH-talk list managers to tell other list managers when they have sent out a message regarding the groups.
You can send an email to the group at cch-listmanagers@googlegroups.com.
The group is only open to CCH email list managers. Anyone may send emails to the group.
Anyone in CCH can become a list manager, if they so desire.
Some of our legacy email groups are still available. Alex (former resident) has not shut down these groups, so they can be used for email distribution, but there is no easy way to manage the groups, or add or remove members.
Websites
Cambridge Cohousing has two main websites:
This is our public-facing website, accessible to anyone on the web.
You can visit the website at www.cambridgecohousing.org
Cambridge Cohousing Wiki (this site)
This is our internal website, designed to be an online handbook for living in Cambridge Cohousing.
You can visit the internal website at https://sites.google.com/site/cambridgecohousing
The website is only accessible if you are logged into a Google account associated with an email address that is included in either of the CCH-Business or CCH-Talk Googlegroups.
Our legacy members website is available at http://our.cambridgecohousing.org/. There is a link to this website from the home page of CambridgeCohousing.org. You must enter the user ID "cch" and password to get into the website. This website also has links to the archives of some of our earlier email groups, including Discuss@cambridgecohousing.org, Announce@cambridgecohousing.org and managing-board@cambridgecohousing.org.
Cambridge Cohousing has a Facebook page. This is intended to be used to communicate events at CCH that are open to the general public. Anyone can post to the Facebook page as a visitor. If you wish to post an announcement as Cambridge Cohousing, contact one of the current page administrators (see Go-To list).
