When guests request an early check-in, follow these steps:
Use template "early check in 3 days away"
we cannot confirm if we can do early check in until close to there arrival check in date
Two days before the guest's scheduled arrival, check if the property is ready for an early check-in.
Verify that the home is clean and the previous guests have already checked out.
If the property is clean and unoccupied:
Use the Guesty template message to inform the guest that "Early Check-In Same Day Available."
If cleaning is scheduled for early morning on the arrival day:
Check with the service manager or scheduling coordinator to confirm when the property will be available for early check-in, and adjust messaging as needed.
If the property is not ready:
Use the Guesty template message to inform the guest that "Early Check-In Not Available."
ONLY APPLIES TO CHECK-INS BEFORE 2 PM: Proceed to Step 4 if no fees apply to the early check-in.
Follow the standard reservation alteration procedure to update the booking with the early arrival fees.
Ensure the guest is informed of the updated total and confirm that the alteration is reflected in all relevant systems.
Once the alteration is accepted by the guest, continue with the accepted alterations procedure.
If step 3 was skipped due to no applicable fees, guest "acceptance" will be the guest confirming via direct message that they want to proceed with the early check-in after you notified them it is available.
