Try narrating what someone did using ordinal numbers to sequence it. For example,
Ayer, estudié mucho.
Primero, estudié para un examen.
Segundo, estudié español en Duolingo.
Tercero, estudié la gimnasia.
Pretend you are in a long line and you're trying to tell someone on the phone what place you're in. At first, you are the 10th person in line, but eventually you are the 1st.

Direct Object Pronouns
I can
Explain what a direct object is and find one in an English sentence and in a Spanish sentence (given I understand the words).
I can replace various direct objects with their equivalent pronouns.
I can rephrase a sentence, replacing the direct object with its pronoun. I can do this without leaving unneeded words in the sentence and putting words in the correct order.
I can reply to questions, using direct object pronouns in my responses.

Indirect Object Pronouns
Understand it in English.
Verbs dealing with communication (says, tells, asks, requests, writes, sends, yells, whispers, etc) usually have a "message" being given to "someone". The "someone" is always the indirect object, even if the "message" isn't referred to in the sentence.
Verbs that use indirect object pronouns:
Hint: "something" in each sentence is the DIRECT object. The "SOMEONE" that receives the something is the INDIRECT OBJECT.
to send (mandar) -- I send something to SOMEONE
to write (escribir) -- I write something to SOMEONE
to promise (prometer) -- I promise something to SOMEONE
to carry/take (llevar) -- I take something to SOMEONE
to sing (cantar) - I sing a song to/for SOMEONE
to allow (dejar and permitir) - I allow SOMEONE to do SOMETHING
to win (ganar) - I win something for SOMEONE
to ask (preguntar) - I ask a question to SOMEONE
to owe (deber) - I owe SOMEONE something
to sell (vender) - I sell SOMEONE something
to prohibit (Prohibir) - I prohibit SOMEONE from doing something
to give (dar) - I give something to SOMEONE
to tell/say (decir or contar) - I say something to someone
