Learning Targets 9 and 10
9. I can identify which verbs are stem changing verbs and what type of change occurs in each.
10. I can conjugate and use stem changing verbs reviewed in class in the present tense.
Do you Remember? ¿Recuerdas?
The stem of the verb is the main part of the verb (everything minus the ending)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Divide your flip chart (notes) bottom portion into four sections for these different types of stem changing verbs:
O: UE
U: UE (there's only 1 verb that does this, so this section will be small)
E: IE
E: I
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Boot Verbs
We call stem changing verbs BOOT verbs because if you draw a boot on top of your verb T-Chart, they only verb forms that change are where the boot is. (not the nosotros/vosotros forms)
As you draw your t-chart example verbs, draw the "boot" to help you conjugate them correctly.
Part 1
