Write a Scene  


Task Detail

Continue writing your play as a group. In the middle of your play, write a scene in which the main character identifies and accesses a trusted adult and shares their concerns. Have the trusted adult explain ways they can help and how to set personal boundaries.


Engaging Scenario: 

Your younger friend has been dealing with a bully while playing out at recess. They don’t know what to do because it keeps happening and they person who is bullying won’t stop. You have recently been learning about how to access trusted adults and setting personal boundaries and have an idea for how you could help your friend. You decide to write a play showing them how they can handle their situation. You will perform this play for them to teach them how to handle these challenging times.

Use the sentence starters and scripts discussed in previous lessons. Have the trusted adult explain ways they can help and how to set personal boundaries.
