Write a Play  


Task Detail

Begin writing your play as a group. In the beginning of your play, write a scenario in which your main character gets bullied. Plan a script for the main character and the friend so that the friend can teach the main character how to identify and access a trusted adult. 


Engaging Scenario: 

Your younger friend has been dealing with a bully while playing out at recess. They don’t know what to do because it keeps happening and they person who is bullying won’t stop. You have recently been learning about how to access trusted adults and setting personal boundaries and have an idea for how you could help your friend. You decide to write a play showing them how they can handle their situation. You will perform this play for them to teach them how to handle these challenging times. 


Detailed Student Directions:

Plan a script using sentence starters or scripts from previous lessons for the main character and the friend so that the friend can teach the main character how to identify and access a trusted adult.
