Heya! The name's Nex. I am an artist/illustrator currently completing my fifth trimester in Bachelor of Graphic Design. I was always visually expressive throughout my youth and loves exploring different styles of media and art. I love using my creativity to delve into creating my works with a bit of a twist to them.

In this first project, we were briefed to increase the presence of the one of many alternative milk/dairy brands; Oatly in Australian markets and Audience. The objective was to promote their new ice cream products to a specific audience and Australian market shelves.

Week 3 - x2 print advertisements (A3 size)
Week 3 - x2 mockups of the print advertisements (e.g. magazine, bus shelter ad, etc)
Week 4 - x2 creative media mockups of ad (e.g. billboard, outdoor, stickers, wobblers, standees or a promotional advertisement that uses a different layout to your A3 print ad.)

These mockups and creative media extensions were the most effective as they would be looked on and interacted by high traffic situations such as individuals that were taking public transport, looking at foodie magazines or walking through the city towards their intended destinations.
As I wanted to create my advertisement campaign as colourful, bright, friendly and full of life, these photos below instantly grabbed my atttention. I wanted to create a simplisitic character with the style of "paper cut outs" or "paper puppets" and I felt like this was a perfect combo.
These quick sketches were to help give a jumpstart to ideating what I want.

These shows my development of creating some concepts thats suitable for my ad campaign. Firstly I drew up some quick sketches before gathering feedback and choosing one that stood out.
I felt like this concept was best to pick because it will be suitable for what Oatly's ice cream product stood for; sustainability for the environment and goodness for health/body.
This is where I began to create my character, in which I have named "Earth Boy". Adorable isn't he? At first I wanted to create him as bright, friendly and appealing to the audience. The inital idea was for my assets and placement of the Ad was to convey and "talk' towards the intended audience. An example can be having Earth boy looking directly at you.

Creating the posters were a lot of fun as I looked and experimented different styles and layouts. What was a bit difficult was to make a headline and subtext that suited and linked to the illustrations. In the end, I found the right headlines and subtext that talked about how tasty the ice cream is and how it's good for your health.
This second project involved to choose a character from well known series/movies and create an online personality and promote their own business/services or event they are creating whilst interacting with others through Instagram.

Week 9 -Social media plan (hypothetically extending for three months, at least three posts a week, for three months). Begin creating your first post.

Week 11 - Typographical post to IG account.
Week 12 - Motion graphics with audio posts (1080
x1080, .mp4). Weekly engagement with your peers' posts (in your character).
The ideation of how I wanted to plan out Jack's services and character. The main idea that I wanted to go for was to show that Jack Sparrow's business specialises in all types of weddings, especially themed ones.
The calendar and media plan below were to help carefully strategise, organise and schedule each post and what content will be placed in.

I decided to choose the pearl and sparrow as I felt it suited more with Jack sparrow's character and also fits in with the wedding theme.
