I’m currently completing a Bachelor in Graphic Design at SAE Institute in Northbridge. I’ve had over 9 years of experience in graphic design, I started with designing YouTube thumbnails and cover banners at the age of 10. I’m the founder and co-owner of Genuine Thrills, a company I started 2 years ago. I take care of the creative side of the business, designing, contacting manufacturers and marketing our clothes. I freelance and specialise in t- shirt designs for most streetwear/skate brands.
PROJECT 1
The goal was to promote juice drinking to a younger demographic and therefore increase market share for nudie in the fresh fruit juices category.
The age group I wanted to target with this campaign was young adults from 18 to 28 so I wanted to incorporate and grow the brand identity of being fun, bold and cheeky. My idea was to keep to look of the cute characters that nudie uses in their branding but add more of a sexual side to the personality. I wanted to make it still suitable for kids to look at and read if they’re able to, but I’ve made it so more mature people could understand.
After creating the persona and moodboard for the person we are aiming our ad at we then presented it to the class to see if they were able to easily put it together. I presented mine and the class immediately knew the person I was trying to focus my ad towards and they all thought it was a good idea. If I were to go back and add anything I would put the type of food she eats in the moodboard to show and give people a better idea of her healthy lifestyle.

I decided to go with a gradient background to make the image have more of an impact and stand out more also so the overall poster looked more interested and not as boring as it would look with a solid orange background.
I created a few different designs changing mainly what the text said and the positioning of everything to see what would look the best and try and spark new ideas I could use throughout the poster. This process made me realise that I didn't do as much planned as I need to do because I was still tossing up the campaign idea while doing the mockups. I was still deciding if I was going to include the audience, ask them a question or tell them about the product.
I decided to see what the same design idea would look like with a different juice flavour and character. I wanted to do this because then the view would be able to see the eyes of the character winking in hope it creates more of a cheeky look.
I personally think it turned out a lot better than the orange juice one I just need to decide on what I want the text to say. I want the to continue on the cheeky path but also stay child friendly.
Project 2
Create and maintain a cohesive personality and online presence whilst promoting a service/event through a social media campaign.
My fictional character was Spider-man from the movie ‘Spider-man: Into the Spider-Verse’. I chose to run a burger shop in the heart of Brooklyn because that’s where Myles (Spider-Man) is from. I wanted to take inspiration from surrounding burger shops in Brooklyn and decided to go very bold and simple but mysterious at the same time, complementing Spider-Mans character.
I decided to switch the logo up a lot from the sketches I did t more suit the overall vibe of the brand. I started with doing the burger logo with the Brooklyn in the middle as stringy cheese but after looking back over it after a bit I found it looked very tacky and to much diy type look. With the logos on the right I was trying to create something more simple while also keeping in mind the posts that I would be creating and sharing on instagram. I did really like the look of the 'BBB' with the cheese around but I felt that it didn't really have the overall look I had imagined.
This was the final logo I decided to go with. I end up just cartoonising Spider-Man and then matching the style of cartoon with a very simple burger. I added the red background so it would make the overall design pop out alot more and also because its included in Spider-Mans colour palette.

My social media calendar consists of 3 different posts:
Important Info Posts (self explanatory but this includes things like opening days, trading times, daily specials).
Illustrated Post (These posts are there to add some more character to the instagram feed and connect the posts together a bit).
Product Info Post (other one thats self explanatory but if there was a special burger we made or something rather it would just be a post to show it off and go into more detail about it.
Done with setting up everything to start posting. I wanted to create small icons for the highlights so it joined in with the rest of the page for when I start posting. It also just gives the page a more professional look overall which is huge for a business because you want to be able to make the customers and views trust what your selling.
Within the campaign snapshot the goal was to give people a quick in site to what the project was about and what I had to submit while also keeping the same look. I included all the main components such as the brief, what my overall idea was, the deliverables and some side components such as the instagram the social media calendar and the highlight icons. I really wish I could make an animated campaign snapshot so that I could've included some of the instagram posts without them taking up to much room but overall I'm really happy with how it turned out and I'm glad I was able to mirror the design of the instagram page.

This is a poster including all my final 12 instagram posts.
