Job Description
This role acts as as digital technology expert providing technical execution and implementation within all digital marketing mediums such as web, email, social & mobile. Work closely with Information Technology (IT) to communicate business priorities, technical requirements and user needs. Manage third-party technology partner relationships. Research and implement technology tools across all digital channels, through strategic guidance and discovery of emerging digital platforms and channels.Ongoing technical support of existing marketing tools and training of staff and rep channel of marketing tools. Education and Training
Bachelor's Degree in marketing, 10+ years experience in digital marketing, deep technical and analytical aptitude, good communication skills - written and verbal, project management skills.
Wages
Not generally an entry level position. With Varying Years of Experience: $50,000-$80,000+
Career Projection
Absolutely. Digital marketing is just as important, or perhaps more important, than print marketing efforts. I'm seeing a lot more opening for these type of position as businesses understand the important of being able to bridge the gap between sales and marketing teams and Information technology teams to select and implement new marketing tools. Also, there has been a dramatic increase in the cloud-based tools available to marketers, but they all require implementation to your own business needs.
Job Highlights
No two days are the same. I have so much variety in my job and I have an amazing team to collaborate with. I generally learn something new everyday! I also enjoy training people how to fully utilize the tools that we have implemented.
Job Challenges
Time and resources. There is always so much to do to maintain websites, stay abreast of new technologies, stay informed of Google's never ending changes to their algorithms and understand the potential impacts. Prioritizing efforts can be a real changed based on resource availability and budget constraints. For Landscape Structures, staying ahead of our competition is another huge challenge. Being (and staying) an industry leader is a lot of work!
Advice
Collaborate with others, get to know those around you and what motivates them to do their best. When you do that, the overall team is stronger and better results will come of it! This is not a role you can do alone.
