Job Description

As a solution architect I am responsible for the high level architecture, functionality and compliance of the technology solutions my team creates.  I collaborate closely with business users as well as many other IT groups within Cargill.  I need to understand both technical and functional design and how it applies across domains such as process, data and technology.  Lastly, I must ensure that what my team is doing is aligned with Cargill enterprise architecture and where the industry is going overall.

Education and Training

Typically you need a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.

Wages

Starting pay in IT generally is around 60-70k and goes up from there based on experience and your role.

IT jobs continue to be in high demand.  With current world events things are bound to change but it is clear that technology will be part of the overall solution.
