I believe this will always be a growing field. It is competitive and you have to be willing to promote yourself to build a sustainable clientele. There are many chain salons that are looking for stylists often but I don't see much room for advancement at these places.

I enjoy being able to be creative everyday. Also meeting new people and maintaining and growing my relationships with my existing clients.

Scheduling and accommodating peoples needs can be difficult.

Never stop learning new techniques, it is an ever changing career.
