Group Objects

Group Objects

You can group multiple objects together to behave like a single object 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦. When grouped together, objects will move at the same time as well as have the ability to be resized together.

The Steps:

  1. Arrange the individual objects together

  2. Click on a space outside the new grouping and drag your mouse across all the objects. Each object should be surrounded in blue, indicating that it has been selected for edits.

  3. Click on the “Arrange” menu

  4. Scroll down to select “Group”

You have the ability to ungroup if you no longer wish to have the objects move together.

TIP: to delete several slide elements at once, use the same process used above to select multiple objects. When the objects are surrounded in blue, delete.

Response Validation

You can add rules to your Google Forms to ensure that respondents include the type of information you're trying to gather. For example, if I want students to answer a short answer question with a numerical statistic, I can add a number response validation rule to the question. Students will not be able to submit an answer that does not include a number.

Response validation is only available with short answer, paragraph, and checkbox question types. Each of those question types have unique response validation rules.

TIP: The best way to experiment with response validation is to create questions with response validation rules applied and then preview your Google Form. Try submitting wrong and right answers to see if adjustments need to be made to the validation rules.
