Also called puppy chow, this sweet treat makes a bounty meant to be shared or stores. Allergic to peanuts? Swap out the peanut butter for sun (or other tolerated) butter.
Five simple ingredients + one bowl = abundant servings of this chocolatey peanut butter snacks. Feel free to use any square rice or corn cereal.
Yield: 9 1-cup servings
Ingredients
9 cups chex cereal (corn or rice)
1 cup chocolate chips
½ cup peanut butter (or sunbutter)
¼ cup butter
1 ½ cup powdered sugar
Instructions
Place butter, chocolate chips, and peanut butter in a large glass bowl.
Microwave for one minute. Stir until the mixture is smooth. Keep stirring to distribute the heat, and this will melt the chocolate chips.
Add chex cereal. Stir to evenly coat the cereal
Sprinkle the powdered sugar over the coated cereal.
Gently mix to distribute the powdered sugar.
Enjoy!
Store leftovers in an airtight container.
