What's better than chocolate chip cookies? The cookie dough! But raw egg and flour can put us at risk for foodborne illnesses. Try this recipe the next time you are craving cookie dough. Swap out gluten free flour if needed.
All the yum and none of the yuck!
Yield: Approximately 1 cup cookie dough
Ingredients
1/2 c flour (For gluten free use almond flour)
⅛ tsp salt
4 tbsp butter, softened
¼ c granulated sugar
1/4 c brown sugar
1 to 2 tbsp milk (depending on your desired consistency)
1/2 tsp vanilla
¼ c chocolate chips
Instructions
In a small bowl, microwave the flour for 30 seconds to pasteurize it. Read more here about why.
Set aside and allow to cool.
In a medium bowl, mix the softened butter and sugars together
Add milk and vanilla to desired consistency.
Add chocolate chips and salt to flour. Gently stir in the flour mixture to the butter and sugar mixture.
Enjoy! Refrigerate leftovers.

Experiment with different types and sizes of chocolate chips, swapping chips for M & M's, or adding colored sprinkles as a garnish!
