Monday,November 1st

Dear families,

It is hard to believe that we are already into the month of November! This is a busy month with holidays and student-led conferences at the end of the month. I apologize for not sending a communication out last Wednesday. I was out sick for much of the week. Beginning today, I will send my weekly communications on Monday's.

Our teams are in full action and some great expeditions and engaging learning experiences are underway. It is so refreshing and exciting to see our students participating in fieldwork and connecting with community partners and experts. See below for some highlights!

Last week the entire school took the ELA and Math NWEA test. If your child was absent they will make-up the tests over the course of this week.

Finally, we started Pool Testing today for 7-8 grade students. If you are interested in signing up you can get a form from your child's crew teacher.

Thanks for your continued support and I hope you have a great week! Please don't hesitate to reach out to kingsecretary@portlandschools.org with questions or concerns.

Sebago 6- Behind My Mask

The students of Sebago 6 welcomed community partners and parents last week to interview them about their values. The students did an excellent job and learned a lot!

Rippleffect

Last week our 8th grade teams each spent a 1/2 day with guides from Rippleffect. They participated in team building activities and games in Deering Oaks.
