A message from the School Nurse
A message from the School Nurse
Some reminders from the nurse about school and illness. It is that time of year again. Since we tend to be inside more when it is cold outside, it is easier to catch germs from each other. You can NOT get colds or flu from being outside even in cold weather. It is important to get out when the weather allows. If your child does get sick please use this guidance to decide if they should come to school. If your child has a fever over 101 F they should not return to school until they have been fever free for 24 hours without medicine. If your child has strep throat they should stay out of school until they have been on antibiotics for 24 hours. If your child is vomiting or has diarrhea they should stay home. If you have questions about whether or not to send your child to school you can contact the nurse.
