Dear Families,

This is the final newsletter of the 2020-21 school year. Despite all that we have been faced with this year, we come away a stronger community. Our students have accomplished so much and our staff has done an incredible job supporting students and making this year a success. We also know that we could not have done what we did without the support and engagement of our families.

There is a lot happening at King between now and next Tuesday, the last day of school for students.

  • Laptop Collection:

    • On Friday and Monday laptops, chargers, and cases will be collected from students. They will be assessed for damages and missing items.

  • Vaccinations:

    • On Monday, students that were previously vaccinated at King, will receive their second shot.

  • Report Cards:

    • Printed report cards will go home with students next week.

  • 8th grade celebrations:

    • Monday during the school day the Matinicus and Monhegan teams will have separate celebration ceremonies. All students will receive a certificate of completion and will be recognized by staff. Due to health and safety protocols, this event is for students and staff only. Unfortunately parents cannot attend.

    • Monday at 5pm there will be a virtual celebration- "A Spotlight on the Class of 2021. The ZOOM link can be found here: End of Year Grade 8 Information

Congratulations to all of our 8th grade families as they prepare for the important transition to high school. We will miss you! To our 6th and 7th grade families, we look forward to welcoming you back in the Fall! Please have a safe and enjoyable summer and thank you for your ongoing support.

We Are Crew!
