November 29th, 2023 - Control Alt Achieve Cool Tools 2023

Today's Resource Share comes from Eric Curts' blog Control Alt Achieve. First off, just a quick note that Eric will be joining UCET / UELMA 24 at the Salt Palace in March. Learning more at ucet.org. November 28th, 2023 - Shareable Presentations in Google Slides

Today's Resource Share is an upcoming Google Workspace update. Over the next few weeks, any paid Google account (Educational Plus included) will be able to natively record and share a presentation in Google Slides including video and audio. These videos will then be placed in Google Drive for effective sharing. According to Google Workspace's update blog, the update will roll out starting today and finish up by the end of January. Today's Resource Share comes from Eric Curts over at Control Alt Achieve. Eric did a session at CuriCon by Curipod on how educators may use AI as a tool to help assist them with everyday tasks. He has a 30 minute video exploring the idea and a large chunk of resources on AI use in our classrooms. November 17th, 2023 - Say What You See

Today's Resource Share comes from Google Arts and Culture. They just launched a new game called Say What You See. In this game, AI generates an image and the player has to write the prompt they thought generated the artwork. This might include camera styles, art periods, and more. It is an interesting take on how we understand and write generative AI prompts and get our students to engage in prompt writing. As with any Google Arts and Culture materials, check them for grade level and content appropriateness before sharing them. Check it out at the link below:

Today's Resource Share comes from ISTE's blog. If you are not familiar with ISTE, they are the International Society for Technology in Education and their CEO Richard Culatta will be speaking at UCET / UELMA 24 in March. This recent article comes from their blog and explores ideas about how to use escape rooms in your classroom and how by using them it can help deepen student engagement and learning. November 9th, 2023 - UCET / UELMA 24 Book Club

As you might know, the conference is coming up on March 19th-20th and they have some great speakers and sessions in planning right now (you can learn more at this link). This year, thanks to support from Utah Education Network, UCET / UELMA is offering a Book Club! The book club will include three authors that will be speaking at the upcoming conference: Donalyn Miller's The Book Whisperer, Richard Culatta's Digital For Good, and Carl Hooker's Learning Evolution: New Era of AI in the Classroom. November 8th, 2023 - Adding Gifs & Stickers to Google Slides

Today's Resource Share is a new feature in Google Workspace. Many already knew that you could add a GIF, or moving image, to a slide deck presentation in slides, but now Google is adding it as a dedicated search feature in Insert -> Image. Users will be able to search for GIFs or Stickers starting this month. This feature is on rollout and should be available to all users by the end of November. So if you don't see it, you will soon. November 6th, 2023 - Puzzle Party: Crafted In Mexico Edition

Today's Resource Share comes from Google Art & Culture. This week they added a new Puzzle Party: Crafted in Mexico Edition. This includes some beautiful artwork pieces from traditional crafters across the country. As with any Puzzle Party it can be set up by difficulty and can be played either solo or through a multiplayer code with your classroom community.
